New Mom in California: Is giving our toddler multivitamins with vitamin C in it IN ADDITION TO vitamin C supplements a good or bad thing?? Our pediatrician said to just choose one but didn't delve into specifics. Would love a second opinion as we are trying to strengthen our child's immunity during this global pandemic. Thanks!
Pediatrician from Switzerland: Less is more. Sometimes overdosing on the same vitamins can be toxic for your child's underdeveloped bodies. Outdoor exercises and a healthy diet are more important. I'd suggest the multivitamins and be sure it includes both vitamins C and D, which has been shown to be effective in mitigating the effects that Covid can have on human beings. Here's the research.
